The U12 Boys Magpies took home Gold at the Chilliwack tournament this past weekend. They had a 4 win 0 loss perfect record and finished with the maximum possible 32 points, 6 pts ahead of the second place.

U15G POCO Fury - Gold Winners in Chilliwack Tourney

U15 Girls won gold at the Chilliwack tournament. They had a 4 win 0 loss record 11 goals for and 1 against. Way to go girls.
U17B Gold POCO Demons - Place 3rd in Provincial Championships!
U17 Boys Poco Demons Win 3rd place in 2009 Provincials with a 5-1 Victory.

U14 Girls Silver A Xtreme

U14 Silver A Girls Xtreme won the Coastal Cup on Sunday March 29 defeating Surrey Gunners 1-0. The girls were undefeated in Coastal Cup play and registered 3 shutouts. Congratulations.
U12 Girls Select POCO Celtics

Congratulations to the U12 Select Poco Celtics who took Gold at the Surrey Breakers tournament this past weekend, March 13 & 14, 2009. The girls won the final match against Burnaby Blizzard with a decisive 2 - 0 win. This brings the Celtics season to a close marking a very strong finish. The U12 Select Poco Celtics chose to play up in the A division and were strong contenders in every match they played this year. The girls and coaches worked extremely hard and displayed tremendous sportsmanship. The player development was dramatic. Way to go Celtics!!
U11 Boys Select North Fraser Cup Champions - Magpies

The coaching staff is proud to say that the POCO F.C. MAGPIES U-11 SELECT BOYS, has recorded its third straight shutout win in Cup play to capture the North Fraser U11B Cup Saturday against the Metro-Ford Inter (the final score was 4-0). This has been a fantastic season for the boys, who also took home silver medals in the Pitt Meadows Labour Day tournament and in the POCO FC Thanksgiving tournament. On their way to the Cup title, the Magpies went undefeated the last 9 games of the regular season, recording a league-best 11 shutouts (in 16 games), scoring 44 goals and allowing only 7 goals all season long!! We would like to congratulate our players for this outstanding year and thank all parents for their exceptional support, commitment and effort - the boys couldn't have done it without you!!!
U12 Girls - Beez

The coaching staff of the POCO U-12 BEEZ would like to congratulate all of our players for a terrific season! The girls finished off the season with only one loss the WHOLE YEAR!! The BEEZ also took first place in the POCO FC Thanksgiving tournament and posted an undefeated recorded recently at the “Domenic Mobilio” Tournament last week. This fantastic showing only proves why the Beez were moved into the “A” pool of their age class. Once again congratulations to all the players and parents of the POCO BEEZ U12 Girls team for such an outstanding season, you have set the bar high for other teams who come behind you in the U12 girls division.

U18 boys Gold - POCO Rage won the District Cup to advance to Coastal Cup

After going undefeated in Coastal Cup play (6-0) they have advanced to the Cup Final to take place March 29.
Strong team play only allowing 3 goals against and 13 goals for brought the team this far.
Congratulation U13 boys house champions - POCO Strikers

After trailing 2-0 at half time to the GAC Sharks, the POCO Strikers fought hard and came back with a last minute goal by Ben Siska off of a beautiful corner kick to force the shoot out. Keeper Michael Glanc allowed only one goal on the four shots taken in the penalty kick tie breaker phase. Poco shooters found the back of the net 3 times and hit the crossbar once to put away a pesky GAC side.

Alouette Cup finals played this weekend, our U-17 Boys gold team POCO DEMONS had a very convincing 5 -1 WIN against their Mission opponents.
Hard work, skill and good teamwork played a big part in capturing this victory. The boys qualify to play in the Coastal Cup at the end of March.
Congratulations POCO DEMONS - we look forward to more exciting games to come

Congratulations to the boys on placing second in the Alouette Cup.
U13 Silver League leaders PoCo Fury lost a hard fought game 3 -2 to the Mission United team. Marlon Barlow made some excellent saves to keep the game close and two goals from Jared Stacey put the Fury on the board. Well done guys!
